An open TV series database that can be modified by anybody, and accessed vi an XML API.
If you're using the Plex TV Series agent (Manage Library > Edit > Advanced > Agent), then episode order will default to TMDB, but can be changed to TVDB either for the entire library (Manage Library > Edit > Advanced > Episode ordering), or can be overridden per-show via the similar Edit show > Advanced > Episode ordering.
