Do check on support.apple.com whether it is still covered (unlikely, but worth checking, as you would get a new display assembly).

IFixit

Pretty much guaranteed the cable then. If you are very very lucky, reseating the plug on the logic board might fix it (it is pretty easy. You will need a P5 screwdriver to get the bottom off, see ifixit.com).
