Download the Grab app, which you can use to do things like book taxis, order food, and more. SIMS can be bought at numerous kiosks in the baggage claim area of the airport or at shopping malls, where you might get a bit of a better price. There are tons of hotels everywhere. I'd just recommend using a general hotel booking site like agoda.com, hotels.com, etc., to see what's available for your budget. There's way too much in each city to see, especially if you're only going to be in the country for 9 days. I'd recommend first making a schedule to outline where you'll be on what day, then building an itinerary based on the sites you can see given the time you have. Feel free to DM me if you have any specific questions. I don't go to Phuket or the islands much, but I'm in Bangkok around 6-7 times per years.
