Now I stumbled upon wordpress.com and saw that they seem to offer much more for a comparable pricing. Only 15€/month for 50gb of storage and apparently no downsampling of pictures.

I am complete newbie and want to start a non-profit blog on my astrophotography hobby. Frist time I tried this, I got a website & domain from the hoster https://godaddy.com/. However, I was really unhappy, because there were a lot of hidden costs (website builder, costs of the domain itself..) that i, as a beginner, was unaware of. But most important, they downsampled my hi-res images. Therefore I canceled my payments.
