  2. Learn a new language with games, humorous chatbots and over 30,000 native speaker videos.
There are so many resources for learning Esperanto, all of which will be accessible from home. In fact, there are probably significantly fewer not-at-home resources for learning Esperanto than the alternative. The internet has been a huge help in spreading the language with websites like Lernu and Duolingo probably being the most popular websites out there. The Duolingo course is great for developing a foundation in the language, but make sure you're using the full website if you're learning something new; the mobile version doesn't have the explanations on grammar that the full site will give you, so it's better to use the app for review. There are a few highly-regarded books out there that you can use to learn the language as well and seeing as they've already been mentioned in other comments, I won't list them here. One resource that I have found to be extremely helpful has been Memrise, which I use to learn and review vocabulary. If you're interested in taking classes or attending meetings online where you can learn and practice the language, there are many listed in Eventa Servo, though many if not most of the listings are in Esperanto. Look for listings with the word "komencanto" in the title and you'll find events geared towards beginners.
