Alternative to Screen to Gif?

CleanShot which is pretty great, but it's paid. There's also Kap which is free, I haven't tried it but it seems solid too (although with fewer features). Both let you record you screen and export to GIF.

Hmm, it's not a Mac app but I've used Ezgif a lot, I like it. Especially for optimizing GIFs so they're small enough to upload in sites with a file limit, or for changing the speed, dimensions, adding effects, etc.
