The day was dark. My eyes were dry. Strained. All that was in the air was the sound. The light hum of the personal computer, plastered on it the logo of the provider, Dell. I waited. And waited. Nights, weeks, years maybe. Time is a mirage at this point. Reality is a construct. There is nothing else but the maintenance screen. The damned phrase's lights dance in front of my eyes, "We're making things more awesome, be back soon. ROBLOX". My stomach does flips, my heart beats. A calm comes over me. It wraps its arms around my neck, which has been in a still position facing towards the screen for the past two days. My body soothes. I can feel it in the air. Is Roblox coming back? Excitement comes over me. Maybe I can move my body soon! Maybe I will be free from this eternal state of paralysis! I think. One final refresh. I can feel it will be my last one. The screen is black. Roblox is loading! While it loads, I swiftly move my mouse to the other tab, side by side with Roblox. My only two bookmarked pages, roblox.com, and status.roblox.com. The status website reports: The site is still offline. They must've not updated it yet. When I switch back to Roblox, my body freezes. The calm goes away. Fear strikes my heart with a one-hundred-thousand caliber automatic rifle. "Thank you"? Roblox is thanking me? For what? Then, I read further. "But the damage to our servers seems irreperable." I hold the knife, my hands shakily move it towards my kidney. The knife pierces my skin, a scream is let out, and I fall to the floor, jittering and dead. Goodbye, Roblox.
