I can understand your concerns. Gamepass users are probably the largest base that's currently not viable on Linux, or at least I think that's the case as I'm not a GP user I'm unsure. It's worth noting though that things like Origin and EGS can be run with Lutris and you also have the option of adding non-Steam games to Steam to run them via Proton.
