Diep.io is a multiplayer action game available for web browsers, Android, and iOS, created by Brazilian developer Matheus Valadares. Players control tanks and earn points by destroying shapes and killing other players in a 2D arena.

Arras.io has more tanks and game modes, the devs add new tanks and bosses, the last update was on jul 15 witch added an new boss. diep.io has no updates since 2018 and most of the players got bored, and then moved to arras.io or to another io game. I agree that arras.io made an impact but it was not fatal, even if arras.io didn't exist most diep.io playes would move to another big io game. diep.io has only 1500 players because the devs didn't want to update the game, idk, but I think that if the devs updated the game then it would have more that 10000 player right now. Even arras.io can't kill diep.io, so then what this little medium effort fan game can do to diep.io? This game will not even have 100 players, it will die after 8 days because everyone will forget about it.

Start as a mouse, eat other players and climb the food chain in this Agar.io alternative.

Eventually the new devs will turn diep.io into one very unbalanced game like mope.io and then it will as dead as doblons.io. And if there are no fan games then there will be no more games like diep.io, its better to have some fan games so when diep.io dies you will have some other games to play.
