A safer way to dl games (et al) is prolly to use direct downloads (ddl) which can be found everywhere. No info shared. If you go looking I'd recommend using uBlock Origin & NoScript as a minimum; some (all) of the bigger ddl sites are usually financed with pop ups / ads etcs. I'd also recd using jdownloader. I have never had a copyright notice; I'd estimate my use is about 1% (obscure af) torrents, tho. Treat torrents as a last resort? I've never used a vpn w/ torrents, just used (useless) ipfilter & checked all the "anonymous" boxes in torrent client (also likely useless!).
