  1. Write & play AI stories
I'm just wondering why so many people are acting as if NovelAI is the only alternative. There are plenty of alternatives, some of which are free. HoloAI has a free trial, and it's cheaper than NovelAI, with subscription tiers of $5 and $8 per month. It uses GPT-J 6B, and has a partially finetuned model available. GodAI and AID Clover Edition are good options. The former uses GPT-2 and has to be run locally, the latter can actually be run using a Google Colab, on Google's servers, and supports several AI models. There are several other forks of the original AID that are good, and the original AID is still playable through this Google Colab. Open CYOAI is a good option, which you can either run locally or use through a Google Colab. KoboldAI is a good frontend for running AI models locally. However, you need a fairly powerful PC to run an AI locally. Dreamily exists, though it's fairly limited compared to AID. I also have no clue what AI model Dreamily uses. Hyperwrite exists, and uses GPT-3, just like AID. You can use it for free, with a limited amount of outputs. A subscription is required for unlimited outputs. You can use the base GPT-J 6B model on EleutherAI's website, or using the KoboldAI Google Colab. Write With Transformer exists, and has a few models available. The original Talk To Transformer, which has existed even before AID, still exists. It uses GPT-2, if I recall. Though, it's basically just a free trial for Inferkit now.
