Coursera

One thing that DID definitely help me is I did, and continue to do, courses on coursera.org. It really impresses hiring managers to see you're actively learning new things even if it's just a beginning course. Check it out if you haven't! They have a lot of great classes on there like Excel for Business, Managing an Agile Team, and even fun ones like Introduction to Algae.
