Updated to MIUI 12, my biggest mistake... I hate my Mi 10 now. I'm completely noob to custom roms, but I'd like to install one: any trustworthy in-depth guide for someone like me?

The above point is further more important if you break, or have issues with your device within the warranty period. Restore stock MIUI before taking it to the store for repairs, otherwise they will reject your warranty (probably). They have no way of knowing if you had been using HentaiOS(yup its a thing) or GrapheneOS. This is the case for Xiaomi phones atleast. Samsung is freaky stupid, so they have stuff like Knox, which does a variety of stupid things to try and stop you from running custom ROMs, custom recoveries, etc. Thankfully xiaomi doesnt try to meddle with you, apart from the waiting period for mi unlock of course.
