Checksum mismatch from osboxes?

I have just downloaded the 64bit VirtualBox image for Kali Linux 2021.1 from osboxes.org, to find that the sha256 checksum is incorrect. I'm also confused about file sizes. The site seems to indicate that the .vdi image is 3.8Gb, but this is in fact (at least for me), the size of the compressed .7z file, and once uncompressed, the .vdi file balloons out to about 15.3Gb.

Kali Linux

Is the fault mine, or theirs? I tried downloading an image from kali.org, but that was unbearably slow and in fact simply crashed after an hour of grinding away by which time I'd managed to download about 120Mb. FWIW, I'm in Melbourne, Australia, where internet speeds are not brilliant, but I should still be able to download 3.8Gb in a few minutes.
