And of course every now and then there would be a spammer or two. There was this once where some guy was spamming "Please join surviv.io!" or something. And I got curious, so here I am now, having the fact that I haven't even finished Ep. 1 for my story haunting me.

I found out about the .io (Indian Ocean) domain through agar.io probably as far back as 2016 - then I found iogames.space maybe a few years later (the little-used .space domain). surviv.io was one of the first few games I played on there, and it stuck.
