My 9-year-old sister is interested in Christianity. How can I support/encourage her?

Open Yale Courses Biblehub
  1. Open Yale Courses (OYC) provides free and open access to a selection of introductory courses taught...
I'd also recommend you run over to oyc.yale.edu and watch/listen to the recordings of their courses on the Old and New Testaments. They're fantastic, intellectually-serious overviews of the Bible that are much more accessible and less of a time commitment than the book itself. Obviously you'll eventually want to get to the book itself, but I think you'll find it easier to process and easier to appreciate if you have those courses under your belt.

  2. Online Bible Study Suite. Topical, Greek and Hebrew study tools, plus concordances, commentaries, sermons and devotionals.
But, you can pick one up, set aside some reading time with your daughter, and (in advance of that), run over to biblehub.com and brush up on the reading yourself first. Biblehub is great because it has textual commentary on each section that gives you a wealth of context for the material, its underlying themes, and how it connects to the larger Christian conversation. Taking that background into a children's-Bible-study session with your daughter ll allow you to instill her both with the basic narrative, and whatever context is applicable given her questions and level of interest. That'll be a pretty powerful mix :-).
