I have an older water cooler on my CPU and would like a simple overlay to show me what my CPU and GPU temps are (maybe other things, too, but for now that will do). Help?

Once you have it working, there are a few common desktop applets, like gkrellm or conky. Probably others, but those two have been around for ages.
