(Random question) Why are Sega Game Gear ROMs so hard to find?

Vimm’s Lair CDRomance Archive.org
  1. Vimm’s Lair is an elegant site that is dedicated to nostalgia for many of the new game consoles ever made that set the path to find the thousands of games inside.
Only one trusted ROM site (besides Archive.org) has Game Gear ROMs (that site being Emulator Games) but none of the other trusted sites I know of (CDRomance (my personal favorite), Vimm's Lair, Ziperto, and EmuParadise) have them. It's not a huge deal because I don't need Game Gear ROMs that often and when I do need them, Emulator Games does have them (Emulator Games is fine besides having a lot of ads, the ads are annoying but the site is super safe and they have legit download links) but it's just kind of weird that more sites don't have them, the Game Gear was a fairly popular handheld (especially compared to a lot of the competitors besides Nintendo and Sony).
