No free lunch there is always a catch with travel "deals". Whatever the hotel charges is the price of a room end of story, yeah you might get lucky with hotels.com or booking.com as you can get a discount if your willing to pay upfront (something I prefer to do for my own budgeting) but thats not a deal, that is a discount in exchange for pre payment. Too many people have found "deals" online then they get to the resort only to find out they don't have a reservation. Or my personal favorite is the vacation clubs and time shares "super secret deals" where yeah you get a 4 day 3 night trip to cancun for $200 but you have to attend a 6 hour time share presentation when you land and the sales person will know where to find you at all times. Again there is no such thing as a free lunch, if its too good to be true it is.
