RIDE is a totally independent RF editor, not written on top of any other IDE. RED is RF editor built on Eclipse. Don't use either of them. https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=robocorp.robotframework-lsp and https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/16086-robot-framework-language-server are the way to go. Personally I use SublimeText with the RF LSP server with this https://github.com/Harri/RobotFrameworkSyntax but that's not "batteries included" like the two other plugins.
