Toggl is an online time tracking tool. It features 1-click time tracking and helps you see where your time goes. Free and paid versions are available.
I use Toggl for this — there's an app for every platform, so it's a keyboard shortcut away. https://toggl.com/ It seems designed for people who want to bill their time, but works just as well for people who want to track 24/7. It takes some patience for a week to get into it, but now it's second nature. While reviewing the data at the end of the week is useful, I've found the greatest benefit is requiring myself to choose how to spend my time. Getting distracted (e.g. Browsing Hacker News!) requires the mental step of stating "Now I'm going to distract myself".

Tracking music, food, emotional variables is about selfishness. We humbly assert that the main thing in Life is Labor. Man is born for Labor. And you only need to track time for Labor. The rest is a background that has no value for the Universe. Who, what they ate, what bus they rode - bullshit and self-esteem, though a very human thing. Our LaborBook is about Labor. About the memory of your Labor on Earth. You're not important. Your Labor is Important. No Labor is ever done in vain! Install LaborBook, try to track your Work, and we will save it forever... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.liveseyinc.plabor.
