Most users here use it as a general purpose operating system due to it being debloated but still completely functional. Microsoft has said that LTSC was not designed for that, and instead should be put on devices that have a specific purpose and don't require new features after installation, for example ATMs, medical devices and IoT devices. Agreed, but the average user has no idea how any of this works. They see "exception" and don't realize it is probably limited to enterprise LTSC systems or something like the chinese government version which has encryption options removed. Source: almost 3 years ago
