  • What are the world's best kitesurfing spots, by wind reliability and strength?
So you should pick a reliable location with good wind right? Yes, but how do you find the right place and what data do you rely on? Google "best kitesurfing spots in the world" you'll get a ton of garbage by SEO-scumming sites that arbitrarily rank kitesurfing locations around the world based on...who knows? I want some data to back these claims. For example, some sites will say Progreso Mexico is a hidden gem for... Source: 5 months ago

Not likely to be that hot in December. Average highs and lows at weatherspark.com. Source: 6 months ago
  • December Cruise
Check out https://weatherspark.com. You can view any city and see what the historic high/low/averages are, precipitation, etc. This can at least give you a range of what to expect. Once you're less than a week out, of course you can look at forecasts to adjust from there. Source: 6 months ago

  • Too late for corn?
So, go to this website: https://weatherspark.com/ Type in the nearest city to you, scroll down to the bottom of the page to where the GDD chart is. As long as there are at least about 1800 GDD left in your growing season, with optimal conditions you should be able to grow corn, at least in theory. It will likely take longer because your corn will be maturing at the time that the temperature starts to cool down,... Source: 10 months ago
  • Best plants for outside apartment patio?
Well it is definitely still possible to grow veggies if you purchase plants instead of starting from seed. Choose ones that have shorter days to maturity listed. Usually these are smaller varieties, for instance cherry tomatoes will have mature fruit within about 60 days, but larger sandwich tomatoes will usually take 80-90 days. There's also varieties that specifically say container variety which will stay... Source: 10 months ago

Between roughly November and March, you can expect mostly cloudy or overcast skies about 75% of the time (according to weatherspark.com, which is a great resource if you're as much of a weather nerd as I am). That figure then shrinks bit by bit until summer begins. Source: 10 months ago

Thanks. This one has me scratching my head. If I google average August temperature for Solvang, Google's curated response shows an average high of 93 and lists the source as NOAA. If I check out Solvang's data on weatherspark.com, the average high in August is 73. That's a huge difference. Source: 12 months ago
  • When is LAST "plant by" date zone 8/9b
Hardiness zones don't define how long your growing season is, so you need to look at your first frost dates instead, which you can find for your are here. Then compare that with the time to maturity for the plants you want to grow. Source: about 1 year ago

  • For those who have travelled to korea in august.
You're going to get subjective replies since we all grew up in different climate zones, the best way IN THE WORLD to answer this question is weatherspark.com because they have a singular 1 year heat / cold map and you can pull it up for a city you know and Seoul put them side-by-side and literally understand the temps for a whole year (and of course "just" august if need be) in just 1 glance, powerful.
