  • Fake costumer support
The final missing piece is the link, throw that in https://urlscan.io and it will show you if it resolves to a legitimate blizzard domain, which if it does. Pretty safe to say it will be legitimate email and the error is possibly on their part regards to the mailshot/merge or its on your part and its an old blizzard name/account you've long since forgotton about. Other Redditors have recommended online sandboxes like any.run, VirusTotal, and urlscan, so you can use those as well to analyse its behaviour. +1 for urlscan.io - it's been an amazing resource, especially beyond the obvious "is this url dodgy" - their advanced search is incredibly powerful. • Is this a scam? I was looking for an apartment on Craigslist
I also really like https://urlscan.io to get a sense of a page without clicking on the link. Not a fan of clicking links I don’t know on my machine that has all my stuff. But if you have a spare laptop, can set up a bootable usb with kali Linux or similar, and isolate the spare laptop from your network, you can go threat hunting. Most people shouldn’t click on links though. You never know what threats are out there. Source: about 1 year ago
