  TotalFinder is another good enhancement. It works on 12.0 Intel Macs, but no current M1 support. They originally weren't going to even try to support it, but they decided against that finally and have been working on updates for both TotalFinder and TotalSpaces. Source: about 2 years ago

• Alternatives to Finder for navigating files?

  I have been struggling lately with trying to wean myself off using TotalFinder. I've used that app for over a decade and it truly is the best for my needs. The problem I have is that it requires you to turn off SIP on your machine, which is less than ideal, and for M1 machines can't run it period.
