  • [Bing Image Creator] In the style of Octavi Navarro (pixel art prompt in comment)
Works - "Pixels Huh": Octavi Navarro founded "Pixels Huh," a personal brand and creative outlet through which he showcases his artwork. He has released a variety of illustrated prints and merchandise featuring his unique style. - "Thimbleweed Park" game - "Midnight Scenes" game series: Navarro gained considerable attention for his "Midnight Scenes" series, a collection of point-and-click adventure games with... • Secret Quests!!
A game released in 2017 made to look like old school point and click https://thimbleweedpark.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • For how many of you was this the start of being a pirate/gamer?
I still go through and play these every few years, such a fun trilogy. Return to Monkey Island just came out earlier this year and it's also pretty great. Thimbleweed Park is pretty good too. Source: about 1 year ago
  • engge v2.1 released
It's able to run the game Thimbleweed Park (https://thimbleweedpark.com/), a point'n'click game by Ron Gilbert (author of Monkey Island). Source: over 1 year ago
  • We’ve finally seen Return To Monkey Island in action: looks great, full of laughs
Was one of the backers of Thimbleweed Park on Kickstarter (https://thimbleweedpark.com/) and didn’t regret it! Had some good laughs since Ron Gilbert himself was responding in the comments… Waiting impatiently for their new game to release! Source: over 1 year ago
  • The new Monkey island looks awful, your thoughts?
I guess. I don't mind the new art style at all. But Gilbert's last game was literally 2d pixel art in Maniac Mansion's style, and it was great. I think that style totally still works, especially for a nostalgia-heavy product like Monkey Island. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Games like the Lucasarts point and click games but non-Lucasarts or more modern?
Thimbleweed Park: Also by Ron Gilbert. Leans heavily on the Maniac Mansion era of adventure games, with 9-verb system and five characters to control. The plot's hit or miss but if you're in it for the puzzles, this game's got you covered. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Return to Monkey Island, Coming 2022
I am very excited for this. For those unaware, Ron Gilbert was the creative force behind The Secret of Monkey Island 1 and 2, but then left Lucasarts and the subsequent Monkey Island games were made others. He's said for a long time that those games, while perfectly fine, didn't represent his vision for how the series would have continued (and Monkey Island 2 finished on an intriguing cliffhanger), so it's cool... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
  • My happiness is immeasurable and my day couldn't get better
So, what to do with yourself until the next MI is released? If you haven't already, check out Thimbleweed Park. It's an amazing pixelated point-and-click adventure game created by Ron Gilbert, missing none of the humor, snark, and puzzles that you're accustomed to. And if you've already played it, you should know that a free mini-adventure featuring Delores has been released. (I didn't know this until about 2... Source: about 2 years ago
  • Suggestions for a new gamer?
Thimbleweed Park || Trailer || DEKU - This classic comedic title is about a murder mystery in a run down town, where five characters were brought to meet, and solve this crime case. It really mimics the style of the classic LucasArts games like The Monkey Island series. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Is $1000 enough money to create a Turn Based RPG on Unreal?
You would probably consider this game way below your ambitions. It's 2D, it has a short story (5 to 10h) and not a lot of mechanics. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Mizzurna Falls, the Japan-only PS1 game HEAVILY inspired by Twin Peaks, finally received a stable English translation.
To add to that list: Thimbleweed Park is a lot of Twin Peaks, a little X-Files, and a little Monkey Island all rolled into a Lucas Arts-style adventure game. There’s a smaller spinoff, Dolores, available for free. Source: over 2 years ago
  • [TOMT][PC GAME][2000s] point and click horror game in an adventure park
Thimbleweed Park https://thimbleweedpark.com came out in 2017, but was made to look like older games. It sounds like what you’re describing. Could you be off on the years? Source: over 2 years ago
  • Point and Click anyone?
If you love the MI series (a personal favorite of mine as well!) you should absolutely give Thimbleweed Park a try. It was created by the same duo that originally created The Secret of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion and it's basically a hysterically self-aware love letter to point-and-click titles from the 90's.
