Python is a good call and so is JavaScript. Web Development is generally considered the easiest field to break into and it requires JavaScript. Look into Scrimba.com for an easy taste of it or theodinproject.com if you are very good figuring stuff out yourself. - Source: Reddit / 12 days ago

Hi. I've been through about 90% of the foundation course on the odin project then I got a simple gig to build a contact form. I'm able to do the contact form with html and css but the responsiveness has been killing me for the past two days non stop. But I can't take it any longer. I think the best way to help yourself is to start coding and building projects. You can checkout theodinproject.com to learn the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node, Ruby, React Mongodb stacks or https://thecsharpacademy.com to learn the C#, ASP.NET Core, mssql server, JavaScript, React, Angular stacks. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
  • Career change to programming after 30s
If you want to cut out all the unnecessary stuff and learn exactly what you need to be an entry level web developer, do either freecodecamp.org or theodinproject.com web dev curriculums. Don't waste time with anything else. Use either one of those, do all the projects. Should take about a year if you spend 20+ hours a week on it. I did freecodecamp 7 years ago but I would actually recommend the odin project over... - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago

The Odin Project - heavily documentation-based with projects where you can apply your newly acquired skills. I highly suggest this one because you will find yourself reading a lot of documentations, researching on google, etc. As a developer. - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
  • Is it possible to become a software developer or engineer just by self studying? If so, how hard was it and what was your plan?
I would use theodinproject.com to learn development, teaches you everything you need without the fluff from a CS degree. I would devote around a year part time to completing this if you dedicate a few hours a day. If you think it'll happen with less commitment to this just back out now you're probably gonna struggle. - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago

Have you looked into The Odin Project? It compiles the best learning resources to create a curriculum path to set you up with everything you need. I strongly suggest that.
