Good for pre-created IaaS VMs
Similar declarative-based code. I use it to install and configure database, app, web, and fileshare servers all windows based. I then layer in DoD STIG compliance with numerous registry edits or ntfs via accesscontroldsc or securitypolicydsc for userrights assignments. Very easy to mingle in dynamic code via iterating over a psd1 file.
