TIL there is an investment oriented news site called https://morningstar.com. Was struggling to figure out why the Communist Party of Great Britain’s newspaper (https://www.morningstaronline.co.uk/) would have relevant coverage of this topic. Although I suppose the machinations of the Silicon Valley/US government research establishment have probably been of intense interest to international socialism since the... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
Why not just post a screenshot? Do you work for morningstar.com and are trying to get us to subscribe? How about you subscribe to my sites CaptiveClinic.com and GirlsGoneGyno.com to see my porn?!? - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago

Morningstar.com has pretty good no hype articles and fund analysis. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
For future reference you can go to morningstar.com, enter a ticker, click "Chart," and then "compare" to enter a second ticker. Your result is a comparison of total return, not share price. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
Goto Yahoo finance or morningstar.com and compare the history, results, cost, dividends and what the largest holdings are. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
According to Morningstar.com, VB is 40% mid-caps, 50% small, and 10% micro. VOO also has about 18% mid caps in it. Because of that, I left out VO. VB might be called "small" but it's really smedium. So with VOO/VB you can have the entire US market in my opinion with the ability to weight them how you want, over the years. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
Vanguard recently announced that they will continue to invest in fossil fuels so if you're concerned about that then find an alternative fund (BTW Blackrock also made the same announcement). If you want a replacement then you can use morningstar.com and trustnet.com to identify possible substitutes but will require a bit of research time. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
For a quick overview (if you're searching for companies or want to have a quick impression of the financial statements) you could use morningstar.com or finance.yahoo.com (free versions are totally fine). - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago
So morningstar.com killed its key Ratios. A service I was using daily. Just out of the blue they removed it and I don't have a replacement. It was so valuable to providing a quick glance at a company before I'd invest in it. Do you guys know of a similar service? I'd pay pay for this also but morningstar doesn't even offer that as an option anymore. - Source: Reddit / 11 months ago

There was a brief period on morningstar.com where Meta was analyzed as being 50% of it's fair value, and then they looked at it again and now it's okay. Does anyone have an explanation for what happened? I understand that the company had earnings below what we were hoping for. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
I will be talking one-on-one with the Product Managers over morningstar.com this coming week. They asked me to come with questions prepared. I wanted to come to r/investing to ask you all:. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
Also, the fact that they are mutual funds means your cap gains are probably lower than what you think they are. If you know the funds, you can look up the cap gain distribution rate on morningstar.com (if it's still a free feature - sorry.. it's been a while for me lol). - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
You can research it yourself by googling in one by one. For example you want to check DMC's dividend history, google mo "DMC dividend history" then click mo yung link ng morningstar.com tapos dun makikita mo yung past few years and you can check for yourself which is most consistent. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Note if you're not sure what I'm talking about go to morningstar.com for the same key ratios by only for US stocks. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
On morningstar, at the top of the page, it lists the most active tickers each day. The vast majority of time, going back to DPO date, Palantir is one of the most actively traded stocks on the market. I never see any other stocks that make this list so frequently. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago

Wow thank you so much for this! I was trying to guess the url based on the morningstar.com website to no success. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
A good place to start is to start independently tracking your returns and comparing them to indexes. Personally I use morningstar.com to track my portfolio - I can put in when I buy and sell things and it will track my returns and graph them against various indices. Of course since I follow a Boglehead strategy my portfolio follows the index pretty closely. But its important to realize how much of the gains your... - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
