Gasp, that explains the odd behavior when I click on something slightly out of place on the dude map. I'm so very used to closing accidental mikrotik.com popups that it was weird when it didn't happen.... Source: about 3 years ago
In the product page of each wireless product on mikrotik.com, there is a table showing the maximum Tx power for each data rate. I believe however that the board will work on the maximum Tx power if the tx-power setting is higher than the maximum it can output (so that you do not damage the radio by setting a higher one). I believe that the most economical way to get into a bigger 10GbE is Mikrotik and Direct Attach (Twinax) cables. I own a CCR2004-1G-12S+2XS as my border router and a CRS328-24P-4S+ for my LAN (24 POE and 4 10GbE). The PoE is handy - it powers phones, access points, Raspberry Pis, other switches, and so on. Any router (or routerboard) that supports Mikrotik: https://mikrotik.com/ You don't have to buy from them the hardware. I used to use OpenWRT (which is also a nice second option), but the robustness and flexibility of mikrotik is fantastic. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
Thank you in advance, it is just annoying that I cannot go to this specific website, and the irony is if I search google and add mikrotik.com I never get the right result because the website resolves for everyone else and it returns issues of people on the mikrotik forums with other websites and their mikrotik devices and not a general issue like mine. The usual answer I've found to this question is Microtik, they strike a similar balance between enterprise feature-set and more consumer level price point as Ubiquiti sort of aims for with the Unifi line. The quality/feature set is there and the software is really well designed, even if not as networking beginner-friendly as Unifi has become. https://mikrotik.com/. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
How about mikrotik, https://mikrotik.com/ I am a satisfied user of their software (and hardware) for the past 10years. If you don't mind the rather rustic interface, it should be as closest to a professional grade cisco as you can get. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago

Over the last 7 or so years companies like MikroTik and Ubiquiti have made available to general consumers the same microwave backhaul hardware that historical was only available at exorbitant prices to the US military and Wall Street traders. This has resulted in individuals buying these point-to-point wifi access points (only cost $150) and illegally setting up internet connections between either Florida or... Source: over 3 years ago
I work at an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Idaho, and we use Mikrotiks extensively for fiber and fixed wireless deployments. Configuring routers by hand was a common cause of errors on our network.
