If it’s any help there are a few applications you can use to help with poses. If you’re on a mobile or tablet I recommend Magic poser (tho I’ve never tried it, I’ve seen others I know use it) and on PC you’ve got DesignDoll. Source: 11 months ago
Better still: the input image doesn't have to be a real image. You can use pose tools like Magic Poser to create one. Source: about 1 year ago
This is the app btw. I've experimented with it a bit because I suck at drawing figures lol https://magicposer.com/ you can see for yourself that it is not the same as entering a prompt. Source: about 1 year ago
Yea it's a lot. If you want to do it regardless, you can make a concept sketch, as long as your character and potentially their stand are humanoid, it shouldn't be too hard to draw them in a t pose. You conceptually know what a human looks like and can also look up references/use magicposer, the really really hard part with humans is giving them any semblance of depth in a final drawing. But you won't need to do... Source: over 1 year ago
Sixth and final tip - use references. A lot. Need a nice room? Turn on The Sims, put some furniture, use a screenshot from that. You get any angle you want with right proportions. Characters? There are tons of posing programs, there are even ways to extract pose from a photograph into a 3D model in some modern drawing programs. This speeds your workflow A LOT and if you are interested in professional artist... Source: over 1 year ago
If drawing poses and angles is a problem, you can try those posing apps. Personally, I use Magic Poser which you could download for free. Source: over 1 year ago
I use Magic Poser on my IPad. I am not sure if it has a Desktop option. You can download it for free, but you can pay for more feature. Source: over 1 year ago
And lastly, here's a very useful tool I use at times to help you pose 3D figures with body types you can adjust and play around with. It's entirely free and works on both desktop and mobile (I think it work better on desktop though) It really helps you get a good sense of dimensions with the muscles and other body parts. Give it a try!: Https://magicposer.com/. Source: almost 2 years ago
There's Magic Poser, DesignDoll, Posemaniacs (with fixed models), and Clip Studio Models (if you use CSP), which a lot of artists use to make references that may fit more with the images they have in their heads. For the most part, these can give an understanding of how to make each pose realistic, but once you have the basics down, there's nothing wrong with distorting the models a little to get things to look... I wanted picture like this (right) for design but couldn't find, then generated 3D model (magicposer.com) and recreated by using different pictures for each part. Not the best result but it was first try. Source: almost 2 years ago
There's DesignDoll, MagicPoser or Just Sketch Me for posing and angles, I personally use the paid version of the latter. However, I haven't been able to find anything like L'Ecorché on PC, at least not for free, except for maybe Posemaniacs or 3dposes.com. But you can't edit the poses afaik. So I'm also curious to know. Source: almost 2 years ago
Hmm maybe try this site? Honestly all I did was type in 3D shape generator and this was one of the first results. But for something more practical in drawing maybe this could help? It has models as well as regular shapes that you can use as reference. Good luck out there. Source: about 2 years ago
Is a challenging pose! I reccomend you to take a photo posing yourself or using MagicPoser (free on android) or searching for a similar pose to use as reference. To naked eye, it seems that his rigth hand should be closer the the body (if not the forearm appear to be too long). And the legs are unclear: his right leg appear to be wounded but is not clear if is stepping on the floor or is raised, maybe exagerate a... Source: about 2 years ago
I see that you are using an ipad. I'd recommend looking into a free app called magic poser which is pretty useful when it comes to posing references. Source: about 2 years ago
I want to use blender to create my own references for art. I've seen programs like this one for posing models: https://magicposer.com/ but I would rather have everything done on blender itself rather than use several apps. Also, this apps tend to be with styled models and I rather work with realistic ones. Source: over 2 years ago
Awesome job. Not sure if you would be interested or not but theres a free site that has models you can use and it has various pre made poses as well as the option to more your figure as you please. I find it a bit laggy on my tablet but its free so I dont wine too much about it lol Anyways its called Magic Poser ( https://magicposer.com/ ) I actually found it through Tiktok, there is a paid version but I find the... Always use reference, the more the better. AdorkaStock on Deviantart is a great resource for reference poses. Magic Poser is considered a good 3D posing software. And you can look at other artwork or art from anime/manga/disney/etc for inspiration or to see how they executed something. Source: over 2 years ago
I used the browser version of magic poser! Source: over 2 years ago
I just use Magic Poser. It's definitely better for anime than realistic drawing, but I have found it to be quite helpful. Source: over 2 years ago
You cannot own a pose, so it is perfectly okay to use references. If you still feel weird about it, I'd recommend using DesignDoll (pc) and/or Magic Poser (ipad) to create your own poses which you can reference from. Source: over 2 years ago
