Follow what was said below, but for SC2, search the Lutris.net site to get the correct lutris version (don't use the Ubuntu repo, download the 0.5.12 deb) and then for SC2 install script so it sets things up correctly. Also, read the lutris wiki to confirm that you have all the wine dependencies and driver/vulkan dependencies in place, and head to the lutris.net server if you have issues. - Source: Reddit / 3 days ago
Via lutris script from lutris.net for the appropriate region (euw) attempted - install runs without error, launcher during download completely black, after it draws no more internet I close it, install finishes, can open normally, login and after that in the launcher the league button instantly shows 'play' but when I click on it the launcher minimizes and nothing else happends. - Source: Reddit / 8 days ago
Yes. I've got it running on my Steam Deck (10~20 fps), good enough for box missions. At first I was using Proton-GE within steam for game mode. A month ago I switched over to Lutris (https://lutris.net/) which also allows me to use Proton-GE but now I can close Steam in desktop mode to free up some memory. - Source: Reddit / 14 days ago

Occasionally there are minor graphical issues, or issues with cutscenes that won't play. https://www.protondb.com has user reports for games on steam, what works, what doesn't, and any workarounds people discover. https://lutris.net also has scripts to download games and setup any runtime requirements, including a ton of older games which some no longer run at all on windows without running in an emulator or VM. - Source: Reddit / 29 days ago
For a lot of other non steam games, as well as GOG games, there is tools such as Lutris and Bottles. Now I’ve never used bottles either but have also read some very good things about it. On the other hand I have used Lutris extensively in the past and it is a fantastic piece of software. It uses user made scripts to install tonnes of stuff, such as battlenet to play World of Warcraft for example. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago

In case it's been a while since you gamed on Linux, it's worth trying again. Wine and Proton are really good now. Get them by installing Lutris and Steam for Linux respectively. Use Steam to play any game available on Steam, and Lutris to play any other game. They'll manage all the configuration for you. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
Sounds like you are missing dependencies - follow this link and this link to make sure all dependencies are in place... Once these are in place, you might be best off heading over to the lutris discord server (if you have lutris installed, the link is in the lutris.net site) to get OW2 tuned to run on Linux. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago

Also when you install Lutris, check that it is 0.5.12 or newer - if not, go to the lutris.net site and get the latest version (will be under the Downloads->Ubuntu section there is a new PPA you add). You will also need to install the 32 bit vulkan drivers as well as ensure that you have the most recent packages. Running an AMD card with an old version of Mesa is not good, so check out this link to see what you... - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
I believe both Bottles and Lutris are available on SteamDeck from the built-in Discover app store. These are popular programs for managing Wine/Proton prefixes (fake Windows environments; sometimes referred to as "bottles" because of the Bottles program; Steam does that as well for every Windows game, just automatically). - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
If you are still having issues with bnet on Lutris, and have access to Discord, why not head over to the Lutris Discord server (link is on the lutris.net site) and see if someone can help you. A similar issue was observed on Arch earlier today, maybe the solution they worked out can help you also. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago

And Proton is a special piece of software that runs on SteamOS and allows it to play Windows games. Proton is Steam's (the company) fork of the open-source Wine project. To play Windows games on Linux, you need one or both of Proton or Wine, which you can get by installing Steam for Linux and Lutris, respectively. Use Steam for Linux to play any game available via Steam, and Lutris to play any other game not... - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
Been using and playing games on Linux since 1997. It's been there for some time. The games are different in most cases. I play overwatch on my Linux desktop now through lutris.net as well as steam native and proton enabled windows games. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
Just a few quick tips: - Steam is the best place to game on Linux. Proton does wonders. To enable it for all titles, go into settings -> Steam Play -> Enable Steam Play for all titles - For games not on Steam, use either Lutris or Bottles. - I don't know about the exact state of VR on Linux, but I think some (most?) games don't work, even with WINE/Proton. In this case, as a last resort, you can run a VM. You'll... - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
