• Found this button on the keyboard of my aunt and uncle’s old (and dusty) early 2010’s laptop. What does it do?

  We don't know anything besides the laptop being from early 2010s so all we can guess is that it might be Plus, or a mute audio key, or it could just be a "Pause/break" function key, maybe an eject key. • Rebind Office Key and Emoji Key to different values?

  But now when I press the Office Key it's like I'm just pressing End, and then I press the Emoji Key it's like I'm just pressing Space. It worked on https://keyboardchecker.com, but not in-game. I've played around with *, {Blind}, ^!+, etc., but nothing I do gets it to continue allowing me to apply modifiers to End without making the Emoji Key go back to overlapping. Source: 9 months ago

• New Gen 3 t14s delete key bug

  That doenst sound like a keyboard issue.What OS? What happens if you use delete key in text editor? Behaves as expected? You can check what key codes the keyboard generates when you press delete: maybe try this site https://keyboardchecker.com/ You could also boot off a live-CD for Ubuntu or something and just test the keyboard in Ubuntu - see how it behaves... • Left Ctrl releases when I hold it and press Z (QWERTZ keyboard)

  I investigated the behavior with Keyboard Checker and found that, when I pressed the left Ctrl, and then the Z key, pressing the Z key released the left Ctrl key, which explained the z string. Also, this behavior is unique to that exact physical key. For example, on an American layout, my keyboard would start inputting ys because that's the character mapped to this physical key on that layout (tested). Source: 11 months ago

• Alt Gr key seems to be delete

  I checked on https://keyboardchecker.com/ and when pressing the Alt Gr key it shows that I am pressing control and delete at the same time, but it also shows that when pressing the Delete key. Also when pressing the normal Alt key it shows that I'm pressing Alt and Insert at the same time. Source: 12 months ago

• Pressing the F3 key on my keyboard does nothing. - Stationary PC with Windows 10 Home

  Using https://keyboardchecker.com/ confirms that my pc knows I am pressing F3, but for some reason it's not doing what it should when I press F3. Funnily enough a friend of mine tried pressing F3 on that site and couldn't get the F3 button to light up on the site because it brought up the "find in page" thing instead. Source: about 1 year ago

• My game might disable my space-bar

  Just done a quick google search and found this: Https://keyboardchecker.com/ The on-screen keyboard key will turn green when you've pressed it if it's working? I don't know much about this as I've literally just found it. I suspect if it does work then your computer is receiving the correct signal from the keyboard and there's something else at play. • Whenever i press tab, a, or z with my w key it completely stops the Z key from registering but any other key pressed with Z allows it to register.

  Say I were to press A and W in Minecraft or CS:GO, so I can strafe, it would completely stop my forward momentum. And with keystrokes mod in Minecraft I'm able to see that it completely stops registering the W input from my keyboard all together. • Escape key randomly stops registering, but not entirely

  (Razer Blackwidow Elite) Randomly my escape key will stop registering, but not entirely. What I mean by this is pressing the escape key by itself does nothing (like if I'm trying to access a game menu, close the start menu, exit fullscreen youtube, etc.), but I know that it is being pressed because shortcuts like ctrl+shift+escape will work correctly. • New handwire build preventing computer from going to sleep

  This is a good quick fix. But you need to check your handwired circuits, there probably is a short somewhere that is continually typing a key that is waking up the pc. Start with a software to check the keyboard, https://keyboardchecker.com/ or https://config.qmk.fm/ This will show you any keys that send something to Windows, so QMK keys like M(1) to change layers may not show but some may cause the PC to wake...   Did this keyboard not come with a manual? The manual should tell you where the FN key is. If you still dont find it go to https://keyboardchecker.com and start pressing buttons until you find one that doesnt register or does register as an FN key, if it doesnt register try holding it and pressing a button that requires FN to see if it registers as one of those, once you find FN the button combination should be... • Refurbished Macbook Pro 2020 13-Inch keyboard keys "married" to each other.
