GS RichCopy 360 Review

GS RichCopy 360 is a powerful yet easy to use file copy utility for Windows. It is designed to copy, move, and synchronize files and folders at high speeds while providing various options to customize your copy jobs. One of the key features of RichCopy 360 is its multi-threaded copying architecture. This allows it to scale across multiple CPU cores and achieve extremely fast copy speeds. In my testing, RichCopy 360 was able to max out my gigabit Ethernet speeds when copying files between network shares. It is far faster than the standard Windows copy/move dialog for file operations. Beyond just raw speed, RichCopy 360 offers a lot of flexibility. You can copy timestamps, NTFS permissions, and other metadata. It has options to retry on errors, ignore certain errors, and log activities. You can specify filters to include/exclude certain files by extensions, sizes, dates, and other attributes. It even has the ability to throttle bandwidth usage if you want to limit the impact on your network. The user interface is fairly basic but functional. While it won't win any design awards, the options are clearly laid out and easy to understand for both novice and power users. Most people will simply stick to the standard copy options, but the advanced features are there if you need them. The help file provides assistance for learning how to use the more complex copying modes and options. Overall, if you need a fast and full-featured file copy tool, GS RichCopy 360 is an excellent choice. The multi-threaded engine delivers blazing-fast speeds that can save a lot of time when moving or synchronizing large numbers of files. And with all the additional options, you have a lot of control over how to manage even complex copy jobs. While it's not free, the $49 license is worth it for the performance and features you get. For frequent and demanding file operations, GS RichCopy 360 is a great tool to have in your utility belt.
