  Hey, yes, I also use Scrivener and have this issue with Lucida Grande—I have bold and underline, but no italics. Like /u/beckdawg19 said, you could use some other symbol to denote italics and then convert them later. I'm not sure what fonts you have available on your Mac, but Chalkboard or Chalkboard SE are probably the closest to Comic Sans.
