  • How common is falsifying credentials and images on Upwork?
Okay, so bear with me. This specific post addresses graphic design, but I wonder how widespread this is. I went to browse my competition since I'm just starting out. Found a Top 3 profile that had several designs (the images themselves even!) which are evidently stolen as they can be found on reverse image search, credited to entirely different designers, such as on and on corporate websites. This... - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago

  • Logo for Northern Fire Defense. Taking inspiration from an old logo sketch, vintage typography, halftone imagery, and a retro style in general, I created a brand & logo design for a fire defense service protecting the northern US and southern Canadian national forests. Let me know what you think!
For the "patch" logo, I agree, it is a lot of text, but the idea is it would be used literally as a patch on the side of a fire uniform, helmet, truck, etc, ... So it'd be a bit more readable in those forms...and the smaller text serves more as aesthetic typography... it's also a style I was inspired by on and was meant to be displayed in a color scheme such as the link here:... - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago

  • How do you guys design website?
The other skill that is important for design is developing an understanding of what looks good and why. It sounds like you're already doing this, but one of the best ways to do this is to look at websites that people regard as having good design and noticing what's good about them (how do the buttons look, what kind of fonts are the using, how are they using spacing, etc...). There are also sites that help curate... - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
