On Facebook, I often see captions printed on top of the video as a separate block (see example below) which solves my two issues! Unfortunately, the only program I can find to create captions like this is zubtitle.com which is great if you want auto-generated captions that are only available in the language spoken in the video. This is more of a question than an answer, but has anyone used an online audio transcription site to create an English transcription directly from a Spanish language audio podcast MP3 file? I was just looking into this this morning, and seems like there are some services out there that will do this, either for free for small files (10 min) or at what seems like a reasonable price.
