If the camera is ONVIF compatible, and most Hikvision are, it should work with Zoneminder and its mobile Open Source app zmninja. For time tracking I lean on Time Sink. If you want something more manual then I feel like there are a zillion task-tracking timers out there but I couldn't point you to any one in particular. Wikipedia says Toggl has an OSX app so maybe you wanna look at that one first. Source: about 2 years ago
