If you're short on budget, look into AI to generate images and even to do voice over.     I actually started this current project with Monogatari, a Javascript engine! That way players wouldn't need to install the game and could run it from anywhere. It was also easy to tweak the game using good ol' CSS. But more and more I found that the features I had to manually write in Monogatari were already built-in with Ren'py. Why reinvent the wheel?
