Very secure, straightforward,and i must say,more relevant nowadays, at least in my opinion.
Based on our record, Telegram should be more popular than XMPP. It has been mentiond 128 times since March 2021. Interoperability of messaging used to be the case, and the underlying tech is there. At one point, Messages, AOL Instant Messenger, Facebook, and Google Talk / Hangouts / Voice all supported exchanging messages via the IETF XMPP (Jabber) messaging standard.
