While I don’t have personal experience, I do have a couple of acquaintances who’ve visited China for work and both have had reasonably good experiences using https://xeovo.com (check out the Features section). So I've been looking for a new VPN lastly and stumbled upon Xeovo VPN for which I couldn't find any detailed review. The team is based in Finland which is not a country member of the x Eyes union and overall, it looks very privacy-focused with a transparency report published every year on their blog. Basically, I'm getting results like these on average: https://imgur.com/X7RV1LH from running Salesforce's speedtest tool. It's a pretty new computer, brand new job for me (though I experienced this in an old job as well) so I don't have a great baseline. As you can see, everything is good except the download speeds.
