  • Ask HN: What apps have you created for your own use?
Https://littlerbooks.com is where I summarize popular nonfiction books into bullet points so I can remember what I learned better. https://rate.house is a user generated media database. It's like IMDb but also has music, literature, video games, and podcasts. https://newsasfacts.com provides the most important news around the world concisely. https://wordhoot.com is a word guessing game inspired by Wordle... - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
  • Ask HN: What is something you built but never marketed?
News as Facts (https://newsasfacts.com/) - concise world news sourced from Wikipedia https://rate.house/ - like a collaborative IMDB but also has music, books, video games, and podcasts https://wordhoot.com/ - competitive Wordle None of them are abandoned but I just don't have the resources to do any marketing. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago

  • Is there a way to play multiple times on my same computer? I’m a teacher with five classes, and I’d like to play with each class.
If you want to play multiple times on the official Wordle site you'll need to use Incognito/InPrivate browser so it doesn't keep track of your games, or clear your cookies/cache after each time you play. If it doesn't have to be the official Wordle you can play an alternative like WordHoot, which allows you to play unlimited times. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Ask HN: How do you save web page content
I have been saving web page content over the years in various ways. Plain text, print as PDF's, etc etc. How do you all do it. For example - if we wanted to save this web page locally how would you do it? https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=368501 It's a long nicely formatted, color web page that I would not want to save as a text file. I used to just bookmark these things, but then when I want to go... - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
  • Ask HN: Does anybody still use bookmarking services?
Product looks very promising! Some UI feedback: I went to check out https://historio.us/ and on my macbook air I saw the top of the green button "see our plans". Took me a couple of clicks until I realized I had to scroll down to click the real "plans and pricing" button that was off my screen. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
