If on wordpress, use the free version of wordfence.com to scan your site and identify possible viruses. Continue to use wordfence to protect the site, and if a successful business blossoms, consider the premium paid version. For time tracking I lean on Time Sink. If you want something more manual then I feel like there are a zillion task-tracking timers out there but I couldn't point you to any one in particular. Wikipedia says Toggl has an OSX app so maybe you wanna look at that one first. Source: about 2 years ago
