We have a kid this year who hasn't gotten a Christmas present since she was 8. (15 now) I'm not sure she really believes she will get them this year either. We've already started easing into it. I had her create a wishlist on wishlistr.com. We got a personalized ornament that has everyone in the home's names on it. We do this every year for whatever kids are with us at the time. If you find the figures you want from reputable sites, you can always use a universal wishlist site to have an easily-accessible list. I tend to use Amazon's universal wishlist function, some people I know use https://wishlistr.com. Source: almost 3 years ago
