  • Best Frontend
Hands down the best I’ve used is https://openemu.org/ but alas it’s only available for macOS which I don’t have any more! - Source: Reddit / 5 days ago
  • can’t open a save file
A few things, 1. I don't think you should download emulators from just any old website. It's safer to download from the official website of an emulator or the author's github site. 2. Since you're new to emulation, so I recommend reading a beginner guide like https://fantasyanime.com/emuhelp/intro-to-emulation 3. I'm not an expert on using emulators on a Macintosh, but I've heard good things about OpenEmu... - Source: Reddit / 21 days ago

Another multi emulator is openemu ( https://openemu.org/ ) I found it easier to use and download. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
  • Everyone Plays Fire Emblem - Week of June 5th, 2021
OpenEmu is the main one which can play games from consoles from Atari to PSP and Gamecube. It's a program with multiple emulator cores all combined and organized really neatly. The closest thing there is to it in Windows is RetroArch but I'll still list here the specific emulator cores that OpenEmu uses. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
  • Alternatives to RetroArch?
Apart from MAME, there are a couple of compelling multi-machine alternatives that I've always wanted to try... But they are for Apple devices. OpenEmu for Macs and Provenance for iOS/tvOS, if interested. The latter works best on a jailbroken device, so I've read. But so far, I don't have a qualifying device to try them out on. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
