  • DDos Wifi?
What I'm getting at is if they know your home location, information for social engineering attacks could be gained by connecting bread crumbs from easily found public records of who owns and lives in houses near your location. Think whitepages.com type of services. They could reverse lookup your address if they know your location. Source: 5 months ago
  • How do I find where someone lives?
    Https://fastpeoplesearch.com and/or https://whitepages.com. Source: 10 months ago
  • how can i find out what happened to my best friend?
Try whitepages.com? They will sometimes list past addresses and landline numbers for public databases. Source: 10 months ago
  • Scammer spoofing Navy Fed phone #
All you need is a person's name, general age, and/or general location to do a lookup on whitepages.com or similar websites. Pay a little money, and you could potentially get all kinds of info. I just did my real name on there, and even at the free tier it correctly pulled several of my relatives, my rough age, and cities I lived in before I joined the Air Force. Source: 11 months ago
  • How does Marion figure it all out?
How do you mean? Remember, GT didn't even exist until Hoover Man dropped him off in Omaha. His name may show up on whitepages.com or something based on utility bills or car registration (depending on how all that worked back then) but it's not like Gene was out there updating his LinkedIn profile or writing a blog, right? • Busloads of migrants dropped off at vice president’s DC home on Christmas Eve
At the national level that may be true but it does not seem to be that way at the state level. Many of the states listed on e-verify.gov's site are politcally red. Further digging showed that all nine states that require ALL businesses to use E-Verify are "red" states and many of those that have local (county/city) ordinances that require E-Verify are "red" states. • STEM OPT extension: what to do if employer has no E-Verify number?
In any case, can I just submit the employer name as it is listed on e-verify.gov since I don't have a number? I have worked for this company for 9 mo now, so I should be able to extend, no? Source: over 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: How do you handle organization verification?
I'm not sure on the details of how it's done ... But it certainly is done :) Honestly, the library/libraries used are kinda moot - those things change all the time (ie, it doesn't matter if it's OpenCV or something else) Most government-issued IDs are intentionally designed to be very hard to OCR (it's why they have barcodes/etc on them for automated scanning) - and any advances in image processing... - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
