  • Keyboard Heatmap Visualization - Input a text and it'll visualize a heatmap on the keyboard on how frequent a letter has been typed
Whatpulse does this for your PC. I've been using it for 10+ years and the data is amazing. Https://whatpulse.org/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Is there a computer program that tracks keys pressed?
Some are saying a keylogger but I know what ur actually looking for its somethiong common on "gamer" kb software called a key heatmap something like this should do what u need and wont be a risk to anything https://whatpulse.org. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Richard Linklater by his early twenties, he was seeing six hundred films a year
I do the same but digitally. Along with songs listened to (Last.fm) and letters typed/mouseclicks (whatpulse.org). I don't think it's autism, especially since the latter two are automatic, but a big obsession with tracking things haha. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Hey Rustaceans! Got a question? Ask here! (37/2022)!
I am trying to make a clone of WhatPulse which is software that tracks key presses. The reason it needs to loop a certain amount per second is due to accuracy and timing of the presses. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • WhatPulse Alternative V5. My first usable project.
I used a program called WhatPulse to monitor the number of keyboard and mouse clicks. I had issues with it so I decided to make my own which currently has ~150 lines of code (+30 compared to last time). Source: over 2 years ago

  • I miss Turbo C, I've never used such a fantastic IDE again. It could include assembly commands directly from C code, it had a powerful graphics library for the 80s. in forty years I've used many languages, environments, frameworks... but I still miss the simplicity and power of Turbo C under MS/DOS/
There were efforts to replicate the experience on modern platforms, like the SETEDIT IDE using Turbo Vision for its UI. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Things I've learned building a modern TUI framework
OMG you using CSS for stying the TUI??! I love this! Please tell me you can have window widgets Like a modern Turbo Vision [1] where you can drag/drop them even one on top of the other? [1] http://tvision.sourceforge.net/#wtv. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
