I agree with this. A closed ecosystem is inherently flawed (imo). The apple walled garden is good for apple and their profits but realistically I think it hurts consumers and the industry. The alternatives I used in the past was AirDroid, but honestly it's so much simpler with rDrop, no wires, no uploading files to an external server and no need to install an app!
