  • I created VidEarth, a free virtual travel webapp that lets you click dots on a Satellite Map to view video taken from that exact spot. It’s inspired by the popular app, Radio Garden, and I’ve poured my soul into it. 🌎✈️
Hey all. My forgetfulness 🤦‍♂️ has caused me to miss Showoff Saturday several weeks in a row, so I’m super glad that I’ve remembered this week. VidEarth is a platform for virtual “travel”. It lets you click dots on a map to view footage from that exact spot. It’s a great alternative for seeing cities in person, which many do not have the recourses to do. Source: over 2 years ago
  • The blue dots on this Google Earth map represent video footage taken from spots around the world. You can click on these dots and see the video from that exact spot. It's called VidEarth.
Each of the blue dots are clickable and let you see videos from that exact spot. It's pretty "amazing" as you can use it to virtually travel without leaving your seat. It's great for getting the different "vibes" from a city. For example, I like to analyze the difference between the English countryside, and say a metropolitan neighborhood in New Delhi India.
