The video revolution that started in the mid-2000s has stalled-out, with the very platform that started it alienating viewers and creators alike. Utreon is the first credible challenge to the status quo, with a focus on innovative features, community engagement, reasonable policies, and privacy.
Utreon is still in the Beta phase as of June of 2021. So comparing it to Vimeo is like comparing a pedigree puppy to a full blown show dog. Utreon's strength is in its potential.
Utreon might be a bit more popular than Wickr. We know about 6 links to it since March 2021 and only 5 links to Wickr. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
I wrote an article on Medium on Utreon, a free-speech YouTube alternative that is currently in beta, but you can send a proper email to the people in charge to set up your channel on their platform. They can even sync your YouTube channel to the platform with your videos being copied over to their platform in case anything happens on YouTube. If you want to try it out, here is the url: https://utreon.com/. Source: almost 2 years ago
I've seen some movement (e.g Forgotten Weapons) towards Utreon, which combines patreon-style subscription with video hosting. Source: about 2 years ago
Now that the dislike button has been removed, for anyone thinking now is a good time to leave YouTube, there’s a platform called Ultreon with a user interface very similar to YouTube’s, especially from 2014-2016ish, with almost none of the restrictions. No ad support at this time but they are working on acquiring that and only need more users on their website Https://utreon.com. Source: over 2 years ago
I think I found today what I am looking for. https://utreon.com/ looks to be a close contender to what I seek. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Utreon.com could be an option. One thing is, my ad blockers run so deep that if they are throwing ads willy-nilly onto videos I would likely not be able to tell, same as youtube. Source: almost 3 years ago

I'll just note that I've also been using https://wickr.com/ for exchanging photos as well. It isn't good for albums, but it's nice in a Slack-like way for sharing ... If you can get anybody to use wickr/wickrpro. (Good luck with that!). Source: about 2 years ago
A notice posted to Wickr’s website confirmed the acquisition: “From our founding ten years ago, we have grown to serve organizations across a wide range of industries, all over the world. Together with AWS, we look forward to taking our solutions to the next level for our customers and partners.”. Source: almost 3 years ago
Wickr has a lot of the features you are looking for, I have used it for years on my phone and find it to be the most secure besides Teleguard . Source: about 3 years ago
Telegram and Wickr are two of the best. I still don;t trust wjatsapp because facebook, LOL. Source: about 3 years ago
